Greetings !

Greetings! We greet you in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! Welcome to our Richmond Tamil Christian Fellowship, as well as to our website.

We have come a long way. By the grace of God, Richmond Tamil Christian Fellowship (RTCF) will celebrate its tenth anniversary on Saturday, March 18, 2023. RTCF is a nondenominational fellowship started in 2013 with a few families from Tamilnadu, India, to worship our Lord Jesus Christ in our mother tongue, Tamil. After a few families who do not speak Tamil started attending our services regularly, the messages are now delivered in English. Many of our youth and children are not knowledgeable in Tamil either. To make it easy on everyone, we currently sing worship songs in Tamil, Telugu & English, and the message is in English.

The families attending RTCF come from many denominations: Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, Lutherans, Roman Catholics, Charismatics, and Pentecostals. Every family attends their parent churches on Sundays, so we meet on Saturdays. RTCF does not exist to replace a church in anyone’s life. RTCF exists by God’s grace, for God’s glory, which shall be the ultimate purpose in all its activities. RTCF glorifies our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by loving Him and obeying His commands through worshiping Him. We are here to proclaim the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through the teachings of the Holy Scriptures - The Bible.

Proverbs 22:6 says, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. We agree and strongly feel that our children are the future of this Church, Nation, and the whole world. We have children’s activities while the message is going on. As one big family, we stand together and support each other spiritually in times of need. When we stand together, we cannot be broken as it is written in Ecclesiastes 4:12 - Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

If you live in Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, or Chesterfield in the Commonwealth of Virginia, we cordially invite you to worship with us on the first and the third Saturdays of each month and come to the Cottage prayer meetings in members’ houses every fourth Saturday. We serve a sumptuous potluck dinner after the cottage prayer meetings in members’ homes. Our prayer for you is: “Be Blessed and Stay Blessed.”

Belief

We at RTCF believe that Jesus Christ came into the world as a man, died a vicarious death on the Cross for our sins, was buried, resurrected on the third day, ascended to heaven, and would come back to Judge the world. We also believe in Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit.

Vision

To serve our Lord Jesus Christ and to live a life that would bring glory to His name.

Mission

Our mission is to bring the Word of the Lord to men, women, and children of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities into disciples and servant-leaders who know God through His Word, the Bible. We aim to help people live a life to edify God and bring glory to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We, at RTCF, believe:

• Jesus Christ is the Only Way to Eternal Salvation – John 14:6

• Jesus Christ is the Son of God – 1 John 5:20

• Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins and rose again - Matthew 17:23

• Jesus Christ ascended into heaven after resurrection - Luke 24:50-51

• Jesus Christ will come back to the earth – John 14:1-3
