Pastor Manuel Talaiver hails from Tamilnadu, India, and currently lives with his wife, Dr. Manorama Talaiver, in Chesterfield, VA, since 1986. He was ordained as a Pastor by the House of Prayer, a non-denominational charismatic church in Chesterfield, VA, in January 2008. The House of Prayer is now known as Hope Point Church. Pastor Manuel and Manorama have been attending the House of Prayer since 1989. They are also members of the Minister’s Fellowship International organization. Pastor Manuel has traveled on mission trips to England, Finland, Sweden, Haiti, Brazil, Nigeria, Ghana, India, and Nepal with his pastor Dr. Stephen Stells on several occasions.

Before coming to the USA, he completed his M.Sc. (Agriculture) and worked as a District Agricultural Officer in Tamilnadu, India. He completed a degree in Health Information Management at the Medical College of Virginia and worked in several capacities in an insurance trust and a few hospitals. He also worked as a part-time high school science teacher at Richmond Christian School and Heritage Christian Academy. Later he bought and ran a child daycare center for about six years. During this period, he completed an associate degree in Early Childhood Education.

Mano completed her M.Sc. in India, M.A. in Manchester, England, and her Doctorate in Education at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA. Mano has provided professional development for teachers and administrators for the past 35 years and has promoted learning opportunities for science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computer science students (STEM). She was the Director of the Institute of Teaching Technology Through Innovative Practices (ITTIP) at Longwood University, Farmville, VA, for ten years. She retired from this position in 2015 and now serves as a course facilitator for the International Society for Technology in Education and as an adjunct Professor for Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA.

Manuel and Manorama have completed courses in counseling. They have two sons, Joseph & David, and six grandchildren.
